Gas Grills: Some Like It Hot

Author: Pam Aran

It's summer time, and that means only one thing! Grilling and BBQ'ing! Yay! OK so this is the time of year that you've been thinking about during all those 'other' months and now you are salivating for some great outdoor grilled steak prepared with love and surrounded by good friends and company.

Here are some tips to maximize the good time you'll have this year grilling and BBQ'ing. By following a few practical and enjoyable tips, you will find the whole experience to be much simpler and far more rewarding.

The first tip is not something everyone will agree with. Especially those who have worked so hard over the course of the year to prepare for that summer hot bod. That is- fat! Let's face it, steaks with patches of fat simply smell and taste better. Just don't go overboard with this if you or someone at your BBQ is a bit health conscious. In general you'd want to avoid too much fat anyway.

Some like it hot. When it comes to grilling, you want to preheat the grill to a point where it is almost scorching (tell people to be careful around it). The heat on the grill will almost instantly cause the natural juices of the steak to be melded into it- making it taste really darned good.
